warning. there are nekid butts.
Sooooooooo my friend Shahin (@motobrapping on instagram) and I saw this Ad and both of us had the same thoughts. Here is a link to a post about it on Asphalt and Rubber by Jensen Beeler https://www.asphaltandrubber.com/oped/mv-agusta-superveloce-advertisement-backlash/
here is the video: https://youtu.be/NupSCx4pnN8
so after seeing this video, all we could think was
WOW How are people still doing ads like this in 2019?
What person was like 'woah let's put a naked girl on a bike, that will sell so well!'
Didn't ANYONE on the marketing team say something like 'no that's a bit too far, it's objectifying women'
So apparently there are still people in the world that think this is OK and the message is 'cool' and 'boys will be boys'
If you know me you will know that I'm a huge supporter of female empowerment. Now if a woman said I WANT A VIDEO OF ME NAKED ON A MY BIKE, then cool, power to ya! SLAY! but to use not only nudity but also heavy sexual connotations within the video to try to sell a bike, that's just wrong.
So both of us thought, we should do one with a naked man. SO WE DID. I used my years of experience photographing pinup and boudoir styles to try to emulate the general feel of the video, you know me, ITS ALL SMOKE AND MIRRORS HAHAHAH Here are some shots of Shahin on his Ducati Multistrada Enduro! We struggled a bit finding an easy location to shoot it so we shot it in Shahin's tiny garage, trust me when I say the hardest thing to shoot is cramped spaces and make it look like you have space and still fit all the lights in there.
The sexiness never stopped! We were giggling pretty much the whole time, I'm surprised I don't have a ton of blurry photos from the laughing HAHAHAH There were a few clear moments of calming down and getting some good shots done before bursting out laughing again when we look at them
